TIDAL CHANGE
Mental Health
Surf Documentary
The Documentary Series
Tidal Change is a mental health surf documentary series concept. Director of Photography, Aaron Cook working with core cinematographers, Max Franco and Samual Rich. Abbi Stewart joins the team as a surf instructor and presenter. The production is shot in Cornwall, UK. Presentation video to be released, early 2021.
Surfing can help a persons mental health. Nature is the beating heart. 'You don't have to catch the biggest wave, just sitting on the board and floating in the sea as the sun rises is what it's about''.
The driving force are key filmmakers, being filmed themselves in a behind the scenes format. The filmmakers review their experiences with on camera thoughts as the documentary evolves.
- Episode 1 (pilot) - without giving too much away! - explores the surf culture; the people, nature and organisations that are available for people needing a space or a place for healing and support.
